Mission Statement

To identify the specific needs of people in the community, especially those who are hurting, hopeless and helpless. And to express God's love by providing service to his people.

History

The Women's Club was organized in 1952 at the home of the First Lady, Mrs Lucy V. Wyatt. The purpose of the club was to raise money for the uplifting and expanding of God's Kingdom on the hill. In addition the club afforded the women of the church an opportunity to bond together in one fellowship.

When the Church moved into our second edifice, which is now the Wyatt Annex, the Women's Club purchased the carpet and the furniture. During the construction of our present edifice, the church had a financial crisis and the Women's Club donated $2,500.

In 1987 the Women's Club was renamed the Women for Christ Ministry.

The past presidents were Lisa Brown, Lucy Spicer, Louise Jones, Emma Jean Berry, Marie Carter, Lillian R. Braxton, Norma Baker, Margaret W. Kemp, Bertha D. Mitchell and Mary T. Jeffries.
