Mission Statement:
The mission
of the Men for Christ ministry is to equip the men for Christian service, Christian fellowship, and Christian living.
Nehemiah 4:14b, "Be not ye afraid of them: remember the Lord, which is great and terrible, and fight
for your brethren, your sons, and your daughters, your wives, and your houses."
We must be committed to our
families, to the church, and to our Pastor. In preparation to support the Pastor and the ministries of the church, the objectives
are to involve the men in regular bible study, prayer, fellowship, and witnessing.
History:
The men of FBCHP
were once known as the men's club. We were mostly responsible for raising funds for church activities. Under the direction
of Pastor James J. McCord, the men became known as the Men for Christ Ministry. The ministry is committed to godly activities
in the church and to assist the Pastor.
Services and Activities:
Each calendar
year monthly activities are submitted to the Pastor for his approval. The programs involve spiritual fellowship in the church
as well as in the community. In 2012 the following activities are planned:
- Father/Son Fellowship Breakfast
- Father/Daughter
Dinner Theater
- Family Fishing Trip
- PNBC
Laymen Scholarship Dinner
- Several Fellowship Meetings
- Bi-Annual Men's Retreat
