THE PICTORIAL DIRECTORY IS HERE!  If you took a picture, or ordered a Directory, you may pick up your copy of the Directory in Room 113 of the Education Building after the 7:30 am 11:15 am services. Additional books may be secured with a $10.00 donation while the books last.
The Volunteer Nursery Ministry child care and mini-worship service program is available in Room 129 of the Education Building for children ages 2-5 during the 11:15 a.m. worship service.   Adult and teen volunteers are needed.
If you would like to place an order for one of the church's polo shirts, please see a representative in the Fellowship Hall after the 7:30 am and 11:15 am worship services today.
We are in the process of starting our very own Cub Scout and Boy Scout troops.  Anyone interested in volunteering to be leaders for the scouts can see Harley McCray in the Fellowship Hall after the 7:30 am and 11:15 am services. Both men and women can volunteer to be scout leaders.
Maryland Alliance Petition Drive - after each service, our Couples Ministry will give worshipers the opportunity to sign the Maryland Alliance Partition Drive, which is designed to bring the marriage issue to the November ballot. In order to expedite this process you are asked to bring your voter registration card. If not we will be prepared to look it up for you.
AWANA Camp 2012: Registration is underway on AWANA Friday nights and after 7:30 and 11:15 church services.  The fee for each camper is $90 and the deadline to pay in full is June 10th.  This year’s AWANA camp will be held from Thursday, June 21 through Saturday, June 23 at Refreshing Mountain Camp of Lancaster, PA.  The camp is for all youth who are currently in Kindergarten to 6th grade.  New and returning adult leaders can sign up now too.  The theme is “What Can Separate Us from the Love of God? Romans Chapter 8”.  Rev. Joel Washington, Youth Minister,  Dea. Tim Flegler and Sis. Vickie Washington Co-Commanders.
The 2012 Boys To Men Ministry bowling event is just around the corner! The date is Saturday, June 2, from 3 pm - 5:30 pm at the AMF College Park Lanes (9021 Baltimore Blvd., College Park, Md.). The cost is $10 per person. Food is included. For those interested in participating, you MUST sign up TODAY, after the 7:30 am or 11:15 am services in the Fellowship Hall.  If you have any questions, please see either Deacon Gary Johnson or Rev. The Honor Roll/Special Achievement forms are available in the Church Office. Please place your completed forms in the JAM Teen Ministry Mailbox which is located in the Church Office by 1:30 pm TODAY.  Please contact Veronica "Roni" Price at vprice@fbhp.org, with any questions or comments. Awards will be presented in the Fellowship Hall on Sunday, May 20, immediately following the 11:15 am worship service.
Vacation Bible School Meeting dates for 2012 are: May 14, May 22, May 29 and June 4. All meetings begin at 7:00 pm and will be held on the Third Floor of the Education Building unless otherwise announced. Vacation Bible School dates are June 11-14, 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm. This year's theme is "Fishing on a Mission with Jesus".  You may sign up after both morning services in the Fellowship Hall.
Pastor preaches at the Beth-El Temple Church, 3910 West Rogers Avenue, Baltimore, MD on Tuesday, May 15, at 7:00 pm and at the 10th Street Baptist Church, 1000 R Street, NW, Washington, DC on Friday, May 18, at 7:30 pm.
CDC MEETING: Any member interested in becoming involved in the establishment of the Community Development Corporation, a not for profit entity, is invited to attend the initial meeting on Tuesday, May 15, at 7:00 pm in the Fellowship Hall. Sister Patrice Miles will facilitate the meeting. If you are interested in serving on the initial Board of Directors, please bring your resume and be prepared to discuss your qualifications and desires. Questions can be directed to Trustee Gary C. EMBRACE ("Every Member Being Remembered And Continually Encourages") Ministry’s Quarterly Meeting will be held on Saturday, May 19 at 9:00 am on the 3rd Floor in the open area. ALL FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH OF HIGHLAND PARK HIGH SCHOOL & COLLEGE GRADUATES are asked to sign up on the Breezeway after the 7:30 am & 11:15 am services from NEXT SUNDAY, May 20 to June 10, so that they can be recognized at the 58th Baccalaureate Service to be held on Sunday, June 24, during the 11:15 am worship service. The Missionary Ministry is preparing to support the military troops who are deployed and their families who are members of FBCHP. We need an updated mailing address, including rank of troops, ages and sex of children and name of person & phone number submitting information. SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENTS: Scholarship Checks for the Second Semester are available for pick up in the Accounts Payable Office in the Education Building. In order for your check to be dispensed to you, you must bring proof of registration.
